The Magical Flute of Sri Sarabha Sastri !!!

We are preserving the Avathara Purushan of 19th century Sri Sarabha Sastrigal's flute for more than 100 years. Thanks to Late Balaji Mama (God father of present generation) who approached Sastri Ji cousin's and got it back to Sabha. Thanks to Sastri family members who generously donated the million dollar flute to Sabha.

I have taken the photo using my mobile. Will upload a better one in future :-)

The holes in the flutes are so close & the present generation musicians will find very difficult to use it.

Jai Sri Ram!!!

    1. Namasthe to all the gurus of music and the people who continue the to keep alive the memory of great musical contributors. My mother is a descendant of Sri Sarabha Sastri on the maternal side. Either her mother or grandmother was his cousin. My mother had wonderful stories of him. He became blind and would spend his time sitting on the verandah and eventually introduced flute to Carnatic style. God bless all the flutists who are the true descendants of him. Meena
